In 2010, STEEL was appointed as digital agency by German tour operator DERTOUR - the UK's leading holiday specialist to the heart of Europe.
On 19th November 2010 we launched a targeted competition to begin driving interest in the DERTOUR Facebook group and to increase DERTOUR brand and product awareness.
The competition celebrated favourite ‘Christmas Traditions’ and one lucky Facebook fan won a magical break to the traditional, festive markets of Europe.
The campaign strongly supported the DERTOUR brand and product portfolio by reinforcing the fact that they are experts on Germany, Austria, Switzerland and beyond.

• We grew the DERTOUR Facebook group from 135 to 861
fans
• That’s a 538% increase
• Entrants really engaged with the competition by taking
the time and effort to write 100s of their favourite
