Silver & Gold for STEEL

On 16 October 2012, we were cock-a-hoop to win two awards for excellence in digital communications at the Digital Impact Awards.

We won Silver for ‘Best use of Digital in the Retail sector’ and Gold for ‘Best use of Digital in the Food & Beverages sector’. This was for the superbly successful ‘Greggs Superstar Doughnut Awards‘ campaign

The Digital Impact Awards was established by Communicate magazine, the UK’s leading magazine for corporate communications and stakeholder relations.

The judges said: “STEEL approached the Greggs campaign via the most difficult method – to create a viral social media campaign – and it succeeded. This shows good innovation and in-depth understanding of the product, the audience and social media.”

Andrew Thomas, publisher of Communicate magazine said: “This year’s Digital Impact Awards saw a 54% increase in entries and all entries were of an incredibly high standard. So for STEEL to have won both Silver and Gold for the ‘Greggs Superstar Doughnut Awards’ campaign means they showed real creative flair, strategic insight and strong execution skills. Communicate magazine congratulates STEEL and all the winners at this year’s Digital Impact Awards.”
