STEEL redesigns Chiquito website
22 September 2009
STEEL has been appointed to design an engaging new website for Chiquito that delivers a high level of brand engagement.
The main objective of the new site will be to excite customers to engage with Chiquito as a brand and to keep it front of mind when choosing a restaurant. This will be achieved by providing rich and compelling design coupled with fun interactive content, and creating a simple yet intuitive user journey. The site will be fully content managed.
The new design will focus on positioning Chiquito as a fun experience and a great place to meet friends by bringing to life the bar and grill experience, the great value for money and the authentic Mexican food that can be enjoyed in their fun and lively venues.
This is STEEL’s second website for The Restaurant Group owned Chiquito after designing and building the successful Pinata Party game microsite earlier in the year.
The new site which will be launched before Christmas aims to increase brand awareness and customer knowledge about Chiquito, capture valuable user data, provide full information on the food, the fun and the experience to keep the customer coming back for more.
Visitors will be able to rate and comment on their favourite items on the menu, recommend them to friends and share photos of their experiences at the restaurant. The site will also feature food and drink recommendations from staff and customers, news, events and offers.
Les Hughes, Managing Partner at STEEL, said “We have put the customer at the heart of the redesign process, looking at understanding their motivations to produce a website that will make them feel welcome and part of the Chiquito family, giving them a reason to return”
