The power of positive engagement

Christmas campaign for Intuit

We achieved a success rate of 3.4% as over 2,000 recipients interacted with this delightful Christmas campaign, created in partnership with Agency Inc.

When Intuit, a provider of financial software for small businesses and their advisors, approached us to produce a digital Christmas card, we proposed a very different approach to achieve their goals.

Intuit wanted to deliver a message of seasonal goodwill while making their customers feel good about and engage with the brand. We proposed creating a charitable endeavour that would capture the interest of their customer base and drive a measurable response.

Instead of a one-way campaign we arrived at a simple solution that was very relevant and also delivered much higher levels of engagement with the Inuit brand. We asked the Intuit customers to help us plant a digital forest of trees, to raise money for the Woodland Trust.

An eye-catching email drove the user to a flash landing-page where they could personalise a bauble on a Christmas tree in the Intuit festive forest - Intuit would then make a donation to the Woodland Trust for every bauble. The process was quick and easy and let the user do something good for the environment without any major effort. Thus the feel-good factor was easy to create through a fun and simple interface that reflected the overall tonality of the project.

The forest environment also let users see that they were part of a community involved in a great cause and subtly emphasised the spread of Intuit’s brand and product offering. The campaign was very well received and we successfully delivered a sack load of positivity for the Intuit brand.

The project was delivered very quickly through a streamlined process and with extremely limited resources. But, from small pine cones do mighty forests grow and you can’t put a price on such a worthy project that benefitted the client and the greater good.

Les Hughes, Managing Partner, said “From day one we had that feel-good factor right at the heart of the concept. Fun and totally relevant, I love what we achieved in such a short space of time. I'm even more pleased with how well it was received by the QuickBooks customers. Merry Christmas everyone!”
